Welcome to the last summer weekend of 2018. Even though it still feels like the dead of summer here in Texas, I felt a chill after having a cup of frozen yogurt last night so this is a sign that fall is making it’s way to my neck of the woods.

We’ll be back soon with a holiday party that we know you will love. My fall decorating is complete, not that I did a ton of décor but I sprinkled spice and everything nice here and there and I’m ready to celebrate my favorite season in style. I shared my coffee/tea station with creams, whites and a touch of tradition, here and today, let’s head into the hub for more easy and budget friendly vignette ideas. 
When I found this ginormous ironstone platter at my local #Goodwill, I knew exactly where I would place it…right here on my center island. I filled it with acorns I gathered from a tree in the city years ago and I just keep pulling them out every year.
I filled this apothecary jar with split peas (4) bags then layered my favorite Halloween candy on top. Ms. Foxy is a great find from #RossForLess and she’s dishing out candy corn in small quantities.
This tiered tray usually hangs out in my coffee station but I moved it to the island to display a few of my favorite pumpkins. I added two more vignettes to the cook station with this pumpkin I found at Ross on the clearance aisle because the stem was broken.
Tip: Ask for an additional discount on repairable items. I did and got an extra 10% off.
I gathered my stash of fall tea towels and oven mittens and added them to this wire basket along with a pair of new sunflower mittens. These pumpkins are a steal from #Walmart at .98 cents each. All you need is a few to create a pumpkin patch.
I finished my kitchen fall décor with a couple signs and the smell of a great vanilla candle. Tip: create small vignettes, they are simple and make a big impact. Have fun this weekend.
