I’m sure everyone is transitioning their closet from winter to summer and trying on clothes to see what fits after our long winter hibernation. I finally mastered the art of purging my closet space but this didn’t come easy. First, I had to organize my closet and that meant parting with lots of items I gave to charity. You can read all about my closet re-design here. I love clothes just as much as any woman so I understand the resistance to purge. In order to make the process less painful, I came up with an incentive plan to give away an item every time I purchased a new one. This idea is working mighty fine and it helps me keep my closet in order. Now that I’m more organized, I feel like playing dress up in my closet.

Today I’m wearing a chevron dress given to me by my friend Vernessa. I love this dress because it’s not form fitting and I could use a break from trying to hold my tummy in.

I layered with my newly transitioned once jean jacket; now jean vest over the dress. Check out how I made this jacket a vest in ten minutes here.

I added some fun dangle earrings with yellow-green stones, gold sandals and lots of bracelets.

I look kind of goofy in the next few pics because I’m trying out my selfie stick and I forget you don’t have to look like you are using a selfie stick. I see this selfie stick will take some practice so have a few laughs on me. Happy Hump Day!
