I am thrilled to tell you about the vintage swap collaboration hosted by Paige, the writer of The Pink Clutch. Isn’t the name of her blog cute as a button? Just the sound of a little pink pocketbook snapping shut, sounds so feminine and vintage. Paige, invited friends, subscribers and bloggers to partner up and go shopping for each other using one’s own discretion. I was curious when I read there was “shopping” involved and then she added the word “vintage” and I couldn’t respond; “I’m in” fast enough.

This was my first time participating in a swap and I was anxious to find out who I’d be partnered with since you don’t know your partner personally. My partner lives several states away from me but Christa, @Cdonnellydesign was “Joanna on the spot” with her response too, so I knew we’d make a great team. The rules of the swap were simple. You had one week to shop and three days to get your treasure in the mail so that it would arrive before July 4th. Even though I had a super crazy week with month end deadlines at work, packing for vacation and finalizing travel plans, I was determine to chime in on this super idea and oh what fun I’ve had shopping for someone other than myself. I sure hope Christa likes what I picked out for her. When I received my package, it felt like Christmas Eve. I opened the box, and it was instant love. Look at my beautiful brass birds with intricate detail on their wings.

I moved them around the house several times before allowing them to perch on the ledge of my bathtub. Since they are birds, they will take flight around my home and land in other nesting places for a fresh look. Thanks, Christa for the precious birds and to you Paige at the pink clutch for hosting such a grand idea.

Paige will be featuring all the participates in a future post, so be sure and visit her at The Pink Clutch for all the fun finds each participant received. Here is the happie I sent to Christa.

Here is how Christa styled the  jeweled box and seashell necklace. I love how they look on her patio.
