Whew, it’s hot in Texas. Now I’m not complaining; just sharing what I’m sure you already know. My favorite fashion choice lately is a dress. Dresses are cool and if you get them loose enough, they are so comfortable. I like dresses because they are feminine. I especially like short dresses since I have to alter maxi dresses for my height. Today I’m wearing a vintage lace sundress that I really liked when I first fell in love with the dress; aka vintage crazy.

You know how it goes, you try it on in the store and think you can’t leave without it and the bargain price makes it look even better. Then you get home and start second guessing about your purchase. Well this is how I feel about this dress but I refuse to let this garment get pushed to the back of my closet. Instead, I layered the dress with a top and created several tiers.
I added some extra gold bracelets to my standard arm candy and my new ring I got for $13 bucks on sale at Barse (SCORE). These gold wedge sandals are really comfy. I’m rocking my new hairdo called Bantu Knots. You know I’m all about natural hair. I’m old enough to remember this is not a new hair-style. My mama use to fix my hair like this just before she pressed and pulled it and now it’s all over the internet with how to video’s. Now why didn’t I think of that?

With a last minute earring change, I’m ready for this Texas heat. Stay cool and don’t forget to wear your sunscreen.
