fried Ice Cream

Hey y’all, I’m back with part two from the tropics of Costa Rica. Thank you for all your wonderful comments on part one. I am thrilled you enjoyed the adventure because we sure did. If you need to catch up, you can read about the first part of our trip here.  We spent a day in Coco Beach, looking for Donald a pair of swimwear. It wouldn’t be vaca without him forgetting something at home or on a bus. (Donald left his backpack on a city bus in Barcelona, Spain last year.)

After finding swim trunks for Donald, we ate lunch at a darling restaurant. There were no windows in the restaurant so we had ringside seats to enjoy the life of the city. I had red snapper and it was scrumptious. Donald ordered a bowl of seafood soup. Yummo!
We made sure we relaxed by the pool and scorched in the sun a couple days. What is a vacation without a little sun to signify you’ve been a lazy beach bomb on some secluded island? We spent a day in Llanos de Waterfall which was spectacular once we made our way down the rocky cliff. The landscape in Costa Rica is lush with lots of plant life, ginormous trees and beautiful boulders. The water was crispy cold at the waterfall. I couldn’t believe the temperature. I even let the words “it’s freezing” pass my lips moments after I was complaining about the heat. Spoiled Rotten, I know.

On our way back to the resort, we stopped in Liberia for another delicious meal and the best cup of coffee I’ve ever tasted. We made our way to the patio at the restaurant,  just as the clouds opened and covered the streets with a summer shower. As I sat there and engulfed the smell of the earth from the rainfall, I smiled and mouthed a little whisper thanking God for blessing me.
