I can’t wait to see what these amazing ladies have in store for us and oh yes, I’ll be participating too so I better crank this post out and get back to the grind or I’ll be pulling another all nighter and I’m too old seasoned for that crazy. Plus; I go to bed with the chickens (southern slang).

I love gingerbread!!!! It reminds me of my mama and the dinosaur pan of yumminess she use to bake for us as kids. Mmmmm… just the thought of the smell invigorates my taste buds. I also love gingerbread houses and decorating my kitchen with all things gingerbread. I can’t wait to share my gingerbread land in one of the holiday tours. I was feeling a lot lazy over the Thanksgiving holiday so I made a few phone calls to get prices on decorated gingerbread houses and I was dumbstruck to find out how $$$MUCH$$$ those rascals cost. I even contemplated purchasing one, then I checked my pocketbook and scratched that thought REAL fast.

I know some folks don’t like shopping at Walmart but honey, I do and wouldn’t you know my Wally World came through for me on these pre-assembled gingerbread houses for less than $10 bucks each. They even came with the candy and royal icing. All I needed was a few creative hands to decorate them and my sweet nieces and nephews along with their parents were more than happy to make an evening of decorating fun. Before I knew it, we had a full blown competition going on and the parents were more competitive than the kids. I purchased extra candy for tasting and of course decorating.
