Hey Friends, It’s Friday! Yea!! I say yea but I’m hoping that we will have at least one sunny day for me to work in my garden. I have Boston Ferns and herbs that need some earth love. I’m also looking forward to a low key weekend after the Celebration of Life Party and I’m not going anywhere near the KITCHEN!!! It’s takeout or starve all weekend. Ha! Let’s see how that works out for the hubs. I’ve been itching to lighten things up around the house so I started in our bedroom. There’s nothing like white to give the look and feel to a summer vibe.

White linens add an instant crisp summer feel. To get this look, I changed out the linens on the bed and added a white throw and some pillows.

With just a few changes, the room feels like a fresh summer day. Add some fresh flowers; which I forgot to pick up at the grocery and you have a romantic summer bedroom to relax and dream of the sounds of the ocean. White sheets use to be an absolute NO for me even though I love white sheets and for years I would not purchase them because I felt they would be too hard to clean.

I found a way to keep them looking white and I’ve been buying them ever since. Soak your white sheets in plain vinegar overnight. The next morning, add detergent and wash them on the warm temperature cycle. They will come out bright every time.
