Springtime, please slow down! Here we are, half way through June and I feel the summer creeping in with soaring temperatures tagging behind. We spent the weekend hanging out on the patio. I have it all spruced up for the summer. I will be sharing our patio with you soon but today, I’m sharing my quick fix for a summer door wreath that takes less than 20 minutes to create. I gave you a sneak peek of this wreath in my front porch spring and summer reveal here and then again in the video of the front porch tour, here. Be sure to check out the links for a full view of our front porch. I use to be a snob about faux flowers. To me, nature cannot be duplicated but fake faux flowers today are amazing! They look real…really! Now don’t use crazy colors that are not part of the color palette in nature, like black hydrangeas and turquoise sunflowers (just sayin). For this easy peasy spring door wreath, you will need the following supplies.

Supplies:
Silk stems (I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby on sale for 50% off)
1 Floral Foam block (size to fit securely in your basket. Hobby Lobby)
1 hanging basket
Scissors
Wreath door hanger Rocking Chair Throw Pillow Citrus Iced Tea Pineapple Avacado Man 037

Place foam block in the basket. I didn’t glue my foam block because it fit snug inside the basket.

Fluff flowers to desired look. Trim stems or bend to desired length (I didn’t need to trim my stems). Insert stems in the foam; arranging florals with draping ones in front, shorter stems in the middle and longer stems in the back, to create a graduating effect.

Hang basket on door hook and give yourself a thumbs up.

Note: use the same basket and replace the spring florals with fall ones.

Happy Creating!
