Calling all gardeners! Now is the time to put your garden gear on, pull out those gardening tools and get planting for your spring show. Fall is the best time to plant just about everything. This includes trees, shrubs and spring flowers. Fall is also a good time to transplant any plants that have overgrown and need a new home in your friends garden. If you would like to have a beautiful spring show, you can’t go wrong with bulbs like tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, crocus and tubers which include iris. Head on down to your local nursery, big box store or browse the internet for your favorite spring flowers. Keep in mind you have a short window to plant bulbs because they need time to settle in their new home before the first frost. Check your Farmer’s Almanac Calendar for the best time to plant in your region. When spring comes, you will have eye candy for you, your guest and neighbors to enjoy and enough flowers to cut and make floral arrangements for your dinner table and other areas around the home. Here are some of my favorite flowers and ones that I have growing around my place.

Enjoy,

MJ
