Welcome back to another MJones Closet Tips mix and match style series.


This week started out in the sixties and seventies and by yesterday we were wrapped up like Eskimo’s with temps hovering in the twenties. I’m normally cold natured, the hotter the better in my book. However, as the years turn my body temperature follows and I never know if I’m going to be burning up and sweating like I’ve ran a marathon or cuddled up in a throw so I have become the queen of layering.

My OOTD starts with a swimsuit cover up. That’s right, why use cover ups just for swimwear?! Tip: Swimsuit cover ups are really cute these days and make for a great tunic.

I layered my cover up with this army green button down collard shirt from Target. They come in a few muted colors along with these camo leggings which were on sale.

I’m wearing my favorite platform booties and I only hope I don’t wear them out before I find another pair to replace them.

There’s something about a statement ring that always makes a “statement” and I love this one from Barse Jewelry.

These earrings were a Christmas gift from my friend Malka. Aren’t they adorable?! I’ve been raving about this red lipstick and have all my friends wearing True Red by Loreal.

Very affordable and a beautiful RED. All I need is my Parka and I’m ready for this weather.
