I am so excited to share my most recent steal of a deal with you. I never leave the house without my bargain hunt mentality and this day was no different even though I told myself I was going for a relaxing Pedi to treat myself for being the perfect Mama, now that’s a joke. Getting a Pedi nowadays is not what it used to be. They rush you in and out before relaxing even enters your mind. So much for a little R&R. I thought I was on my way home after my so called Pedi, then I spotted one of those eye opening, neck jerking signs; Estate Sale!!! I made a u-turn in the middle of the street with hopes that red lights would not follow me.

I barely put my car in park before hopping out and dashing towards the house. There was a big sign that read everything 50% off after 12:30p.m. I glanced down at my watch and Woohoo,  it was 12:33p.m. The house was packed which made my adrenalin rise. I made my way to the back of the house where I figured most of the good bargains were. I didn’t know it at the time but I rushed right passed the treasure I took home with me. I found a cute frosted water pitcher for $4.00 but it was nothing to write home blog about. Then I made my way through the rest of the rooms and back to the area to pay for my water pitcher and there it was, right by the cashier, my dream sofa table.
I’ve been combing antique and thrift stores for months looking for a sofa table and this one was marked $125. I did the math in my head, which is never accurate but I knew it was $60+ so I casually stood in line as not to bring attention to the table. When I reached the cashier, I played dumb and ask how much for the sofa table. She confirmed that my estimated math was a little off at $62.50. I felt the need to bargain a little more so I ask if she could do any better and she hemmed and hawed then said “$60” I said “SCORE” in my head and left there smiling like a Cheshire cat.
This table is in mint condition with beveled glass inserts, a bottom cane back shelf, real brass legs and wood with detail. I’ve place a few things on it but every time I turn around, I’m changing them out. It’s like playing dress up. I’m looking for the perfect matching lamps but for now, I’m loving my new/pre owned treasure. What do you think?
