Shall we talk swimsuits ladies? I know this is a dreaded subject but we all know that no matter what age or shape, if you plan on hitting the beach or pool this summer you can’t or shall I say I wouldn’t recommend you go in your birthday suit. I know we see all the picture perfect bodies, modeling the skimpiest swimwear in commercials and magazines but we all know Marilyn Monroe wore double digits. So I say, work with what you got.

We come in all different shapes and sizes so I’ve taken some of the leg work out of shopping for the perfect swimsuit for you and me, to help us narrow down our choices. Here is a collection of one piece, bikini and tankini swimwear I found for us to visually try on. One piece swimsuits have been around since the beginning of swimwear creation but what a transition they have made over the years. They are actually cute and come in tons of style, color and sass. Here are some of my favorites.

How about the famous bikini? Lots of skin showing here but nothing a cover up couldn’t handle. Why Europeans rock their bikinis on the beaches and don’t have a second thought whether its magazine ready or not. They go to the beach to relax not put on a fashion show. You gotta love that attitude.

The latest swimwear is the tankini, a hybrid from the one piece and the bikini. The great thing about a two piece is the bathroom friendliness they provide. I tell you getting out of a wet one piece to potty is no fun.

One thing for sure this will cut the guess work, frustration and sweating in the dressing room down to a minimum. Just remember there’s always the cover up which is like icing on the cake. What’s your favorite swimsuit style? I prefer two-piece with a cute cover up. Source
