Prime travel season starts with spring break in March and not long after that, summer travel will be in full swing. If you are one of those lucky ones who plans your travel during off season, kudos to you and your pocketbook. You get to cash in on  budget airfares, hotel discounts and beating the nice weather crowds. I love traveling during flip flop and sundress season which also happens to be high season. #worldglobe
I also love a bargain so I’m going to work really hard at toughening up to cold weather travel during the fall and winter months. One thing I know for sure is that when traveling internationally, there are a few items to pack in your pocketbook/luggage that you won’t want to leave home without. I’ve made a list of must haves for your next adventure. You’ll thank me later! Safe travels.

1. Insulated water bottle
#pinkyetiwaterbottle
Keep a water bottle on you at all times and drink bottled water. Most international countries aren’t big on ice. They serve water without ice and if you asked for ice, you get one cube maybe two.

2. Travel toilet paper
#campingtoiletpaper
Toilet paper is at a premium so don’t expect to find ample supplies in public restrooms. You may also have to pay to use the facilities so keep change on hand just in case.

3. Disposable rain poncho
#disposablerainponcho
Always be prepared for a rain shower just in case you are out touring and want to stay dry.

4. TSA luggage locks
#tsaluggagelocks
Keep your belongings locked when traveling and leaving the hotel room. These locks are TSA approved for airport security as well.

5. First Aid Kit
#compactfirstaidkit
Medical supplies are at a premium when traveling. If you have your own supplies, you will save a ton of money.

6. Compressed cotton towels
#compressedcottontowels
For whatever reason, a lot of accommodations don’t provide face towels. You get a bath towel but you are SOL when it comes to a washcloth.

7. Cross body purse/mail bag
#crossbodytravelbag
A cross body bag allows you to carry your personal items all in one place. Less chance of being a victim of pick pocketing and you have hands free ability. Unlike a backpack, you can pull the cross body in front of you for added security.

8. Universal Adaptor
#worldtraveladapter
Electrical outlets are different all over the world. You will need an adaptor to plug up your phone and other electronics. Check the country you will be traveling to so you will carry the correct adaptor.

9. Packing Cubes
#packingcubes
Y’all, packing cubes are the best thing since sliced bread. These luggage buddies condense your clothing down to a minimum and provides more room so you can carry a smaller luggage. Tip: don’t over pack. Wear the same clothing multiple times and use laundry facilities where you are staying.

Sim Card

Be sure to carry an extra sim card or two. You want to be able to take hundreds of pictures. You can always delete later but you can’t always capture the moment.
